We got to know Adrienne and Jevon during their couple session, and that easygoing energy stayed with us. Jevon always had another joke ready, and being around the two of them felt relaxed from the start. By the time their wedding came around, we knew we were in for a good day.

We joined them for the ceremony at The Butternut Tree Restaurant in Edmonton. It was an intimate setting for a couple who wanted to feel at home with their guests. After getting married, their plan was simple: settle in for a nice dinner and celebrate with their friends. The evening had the feel of a dinner party they were hosting, with room to enjoy the people who had come to share it with them.

That relaxed approach carried through the celebration, but it certainly didn’t keep anyone off the dance floor. Everyone got into it, from the kids to the grandparents, dancing all night. Those were some of the moments we loved capturing in their photos and film. The day felt like them, right through to the party.

Looking back, it’s the humour between Adrienne and Jevon that brings us back to where we started. Another joke from him, another reason to laugh together. From their couple session to a room full of friends celebrating with them, that part of their story kept going. Nonstop.
