Chelsi and Shane’s love story is one of those rare, serendipitous tales that remind us how unpredictable and wonderful life can be. It all began with a radio station giveaway – a trip to Cuba, won by Chelsi from Hot 107. Little did she know, this trip would change her life, introducing her to Shane, who at that time, had no plans of settling down.

Their first encounter in Cuba was a mix of Shane’s attempts to catch Chelsi’s attention and her curiosity about his seemingly grumpy demeanor. But there was an undeniable spark. Back home, their first date was anything but ordinary – Shane getting a tattoo with Chelsi by his side, and his mother Teresa joining in for casual conversation. It was unconventional, memorable, and the perfect start to their unique journey together.

Capturing their wedding was extra special for us, as Chelsi and Shane are long-time friends. The day began with Shane and his groomsmen at the JW Marriott in downtown Edmonton. The room was filled with laughter, inappropriate jokes, and a toast with Johnny Walker Black to mark the occasion. Just a few doors down, Chelsi and her bridal party shared their own moments of joy and emotion, especially during the touching first look with her father.

The ceremony and reception were held at The Foundry Room at Oliver Exchange, a venue that perfectly matched their vibe. The unique vintage decorations, which they also rent out for other weddings, added a special touch to the ambiance. Although the day was a bit of a rush, it didn’t lack emotional depth.

The reception was a blend of heartfelt speeches, delicious food, laughter, and tears. We were too exhausted to join the after-party, but knowing Chelsi and Shane, we’re sure they celebrated their love in true, unforgettable style.
